Hard to say “I Love You

Author Comment: Bei is responding to a speech I gave at University United Methodist Church in Syracuse, NY on Love and how difficult it is for some to say “I love you.”
Greetings Nelson,
Thank you for sending me your book.
You are such a good speaker. Right after you arrived at the podium, you started engaging with your audience – people at church who think highly of you, of your knowledge, your kindness, someone BIG. I think being able to speak in Heavenly Father’s home — it is an honor and a way to share His messages through your own way, your own words and your own life experiences. Not only did you tell true stories that changed two other person’s lives, you were brave to share your private life about learning to say I LOVE YOU.
Coming from Asia, China, “I love you” were not often heard as we show our love with actions. I learned how to say “love you” after I went to the United States. I truly believe both are important, words with our voice to our loved ones and actions – words from our physical body.
I learned at important moments, Mama’s voice will come to your ear!!!! I laughed that you are like a kid, but because of that you are living a long and happy life with your loved one.
I watched your body language closely, your hand movements, the way you held your fingers when emphasizing on a key point, like the President. I was very impressed!!!
God has given us different gifts, different talents in life to use in this life. I believe you made him proud as well.
Looking forward to reading your book and our talks again.
Missing you two very much and I send you a big big hug!
